IBCB was established in 2023 by members of the local chapters of the Certified Practicing Accountants Australia (CPA) and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). This group of savvy local accountants wanted to make a positive impact within the Illawarra community which resulted in a fundraising event to be held annually as the Illawarra Bean Counters Ball. The committee has since expanded, bringing together a diverse group of dedicated local professionals, all eager to make a positive difference in the Illawarra community.The IBCB Committee remains dedicated to supporting local individuals with disabilities and their families through The Disability Trust, with a fundraising goal of $50,000. This community event is set to draw over 300 attendees, including local business professionals from various industries such as law, accounting, finance, real estate, and more. It promises to be an unforgettable evening filled with food, entertainment, and fun.
